TRADITIONAL HERBS AND HERBAL TEAS- Shannen Coffey

Join us for an enlightening presentation on the uses of common herbs and plants in traditional herbal remedies and learn how to create your own herbal teas. Discover the potential health benefits these natural remedies have traditionally been used for and how they can be incorporated into your daily life. Participants will have the opportunity to make their own tea blends from a variety of dried herbs provided from my garden or personally foraged. Take home your personalized tea blend and start enjoying the benefits of a lovely cup of herbal tea.




Monday, December 9, 2024 – Private Residence

HOLIDAY GATHERING - Members only

We will sponsor Monadnock Area Transitional Shelter (MATS). Bring your unwrapped gift items (marked with the family number) to the meeting! We will collect the items in large tubs by family. Later these items will be sorted, and each tub will be wrapped in cellophane, adorned with a large bow, and picked up by a MATS representative for distribution to the shelter families for their holiday celebrations.

TIME TO PREPARE TOOLS AND TREES FOR THE SEASON - Jeremy Delisle

Jeremy Delisle joins us from the University of New Hampshire Extension where he specializes in teaching pruning, and propagating and grafting fruit trees. He will also help members get ready for the coming year by advising gardeners about honing and caring for garden tools.

Master Gardeners Lynn Zeitman, Patti Buck, and Dori Buco have developed a helpful lecture and demonstration on Adaptive Gardening. Prior presentations have been well received by a range of able gardeners.
